PHOTO JOURNAL : A FOGGY AUTUMN WANDER AROUND HAMPSTEAD

The September Chronicles- Fog

We all know Hampstead is a beautiful backdrop at the best of times, but drape it in fog and it’s like stepping in to a Harry Potter novel. Eerily beautiful, heavy with mystery and wonder.
Aside from snow, fog has to be our favourite London forecast. The moody murkiness suits the city so well and it’s fleeting occurrences make it something truly special. Although to be honest, after having been confined to our local area under the lockdowns for the best part of a year, even the slightest change in weather is something to get excited about! So one morning last Autumn, when we pulled back the curtains to a thick hovering cloud, we grabbed the camera and were out the door quicker than Hermione Granger could raise her hand.
